چکیده
Abstract Spallation is the phenomenon that under impact loading, material interior reaches tensile failure limit instantaneously due to effect of two sparse waves moving in opposite directions, and cracks are formed interior. The specimen a certain alloy was taken as research object, planar experiment carried out by 20mm caliber one-stage light gas gun. free surface particle velocity curve obtained. Hugoniot state parameters, spallation strength, unloading strain rate other experimental data were obtained through theoretical analysis. results show that: spall strength proportional loading range: σ s = 0.37 × 10- 4 ε · ( GPa ); has higher wave impedance compared with C10100. parameters smaller than those calculated mass average method because special internal structure alloy. sample can be at same time using known flyer.

A dynamic discrete dislocation plasticity method for the simulation of plastic relaxation under shock loading
In this article, it is demonstrated that current methods of modelling plasticity as the collective motion of discrete dislocations, such as two-dimensional discrete dislocation plasticity (DDP), are unsuitable for the simulation of very high strain rate processes (106 s−1 or more) such as plastic relaxation during shock loading. Current DDP models treat dislocations quasi-statically, ignoring t...
متن کاملReliability assessment of a MEMS microphone under mixed flowing gas environment and shock impact loading
In this work the reliability of a Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) microphone is studied through two accelerated life tests, mixed flowing gas (MFG) testing and shock impact testing. The objective is to identify the associated failure mechanisms and improve the reliability of MEMS devices. Failure analyses are carried out by using various tools, such as optical microscopy, scanning elect...

متن کاملShear Viscosity under Shock-Loading Conditions
Although we rarely see a shock wave in everyday life, we experience them upon hearing the sound of an explosion, the bang of a gunshot, or the crack of a whip. In addition, objects that travel at supersonic speeds, such as bullets and missiles, also generate shock waves. During a typical shock-loading process, large pressures generated at the shock front can lead to an increase in the reactants...
متن کاملA non-oscillatory method for spallation studies
This paper introduces a non-oscillatory method, the finite element flux-corrected transport (FE-FCT) method for spallation studies. This method includes the implementation of a one-dimensional FCT algorithm into a total Lagrangian finite element method. Consequently, the FE-FCT method can efficiently eliminate fluctuations behind shock wave fronts without smearing them. In multidimensional simu...
